With almost 12 hectares, it is a huge expanse of land that houses various sports facilities as, such as indoor swimming pools largest in the city, an athletics track, a sports center, a golf course and numerous public areas for leisure and recreation for all visitors.
Opened in the 1990s, its name originates from a old farmhouse from the 17th century called Can Dragó that was demolished in 1973. Since its creation, the complex has been expanded to become a the multipurpose space it is today.
Gardens to enjoy
Designed especially for pedestrians and cyclists, the perimeter of the park can be easily explored through the boulevards lined with trees and benches that separate it from the sports facilities.
Among its artistic attractions we must highlight the replica of a sculpture designed by Pablo Gargallo, Els aurigues olímpics, located on a grass promontory in the middle of the park.
Walking among the acacias, poplars and banana trees, whether on foot or by bicycle, can be a real luxury and a little retreat among the enormous blocks of buildings found in the district of New Barris.
