Founded in 1957, the Puig bacon shop shows, on the façade of Carrer de Sòcrates, a bomb casing from 1843. It is an artifact fired by Brigadier Prim's troops, installed in the old Cal Borni farmhouse, to quell the progressive revolt of the Jamància, the first popular uprising against the liberal state and its centralizing measures.
