The Víctor Conill House is an architectural jewel in the rationalist style located at number 5 Conill street in Barcelona. It was designed by the architect Josep Goday i Casals in 1931, and stands out for its déco (geometric shapes) and popular influences (image of the Moreneta in the niche).
It is a multifunctional complex that houses commercial spaces at street level, offices and laboratories on the mezzanine, a luxurious apartment for the family that owns it on the main floor, and rental housing in the rest of the building.
The Servent or Rio House
At number 7 Conill street, is the Casa Servent or Rio, crowned by the busts of the writer Miquel Servet accompanied by Christopher Columbus, Miguel de Cervantes and Joan Fiveller, councilor of Barcelona. This house, which was originally a private residence, was acquired by the Conill family in 1931, and currently houses a student residence.
The building was declared an Asset of Cultural Interest in 1998, and is one of the main tourist attractions in the city. Visitors can admire its façade, with its decorative elements, its balconies, its columns and its wrought iron windows.
